Day 1 – Seattle Arrival
Arrive in Seattle and spend time exploring Seattle’s waterfront, Chinatown, Pioneer Square, the sights of Pike Place Market, and/or the Space Needle on your own at leisure. Overnight in Seattle.
Day 2 – Seattle to Vancouver
After boarding, toast the rail voyage ahead and enjoy dinner onboard as you travel past the Chittenden Locks. Highlights include the fishing fleet of Everett, the fields at the foot of the Cascade Mountains near Mount Vernon, sunset views of Bellingham Bay and the San Juan Islands beyond. Overnight in Vancouver.
Day 3 – Vancouver Sightseeing
Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Vancouver’s spectacular North Shore including: the Lion’s Gate Bridge and the Coast Mountains. Experience the Capilano Suspension Bridge and Treetops Adventure. Next, visit Grouse Mountain, the Peak of Vancouver, and take in breathtaking views of the city, ocean, and surrounding mountains. Overnight in Vancouver.
Day 4 – Free Day in Vancouver
Take full advantage of a free day at leisure in Vancouver, and check out Vancouver’s must-see attractions like the Vancouver Aquarium Stanley Park, or Granville Island, explore the city’s museums, art galleries, gardens, and varied neighborhoods. Overnight in Vancouver.
Day 5 – Vancouver to Kamloops
Travel onboard Rocky Mountaineer from the coastal city of Vancouver to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia’s interior. Highlights include the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon and the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River. Overnight in Kamloops.
Day 6 – Kamloops to Jasper
Your journey continues north and east to the mighty Canadian Rockies and the province of Alberta. Today’s highlights include Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, Pyramid Falls, and the climb over the Yellowhead Pass into Jasper National Park. Overnight in Jasper.
Day 7 – Jasper Highlights Tour
Jasper National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the Canadian Rockies’ largest national park. Today you will enjoy a scenic half-day tour of some of the park’s natural attractions and rugged peaks, and perhaps catch a glimpse of the wildlife that calls this region home. Overnight in Jasper.
Day 8 – Jasper to Banff
Travel to Banff via one of the most scenic highways in the world, the Icefields Parkway. A stop will be made at Athabasca Falls before arriving at the Columbia Icefield. Here you will ride on an Ice Explorer to the middle of the Athabasca Glacier to learn more about is geological features. Overnight in Banff.
Day 9 – Banff to Lake Louise
A half-day tour takes you into Yoho National Park to view some of its natural wonders. Among the attractions are the Spiral Tunnels, Emerald Lake and a natural rock bridge spanning the Kicking Horse River. Overnight in Lake Louise.
Day 10 – Lake Louise to Calgary with Panoramic Helicopter Tour
Begin the morning with a sightseeing tour of Banff. Among the points of interest are Bow Falls, Lake Minnewanka, Surprise Corner and the Hoodoos. Banff Gondola included. Continue on to Kananaskis for the highlight of today’s adventure, a 12-minute Summit Helicopter Tour over the remarkable landscape of the Rockies. Overnight in Calgary.
Day 11 – Calgary Departure
