Continue with a guided Illuminated Monument Driving Tour. Washington’s grand buildings, memorials, and monuments are impressive during the day, but they are stunning at night! Stop at the Pentagon 9/11 Memorial Park and Air Force Memorial before returning to your hotel.
Today you will enjoy a Pink Tide Stroll with photo opportunities among the Japanese cherry trees along the Tidal Basin. Stop at the Martin Luther King, Jr., National Memorial; the Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial; and the Jefferson Memorial. Mid-day, board the Odyssey III Cruise ship for a Cherry Blossom Lunch Cruise on the Potomac. A narrator will point out all the sites along the river while you enjoy a welcome pink signature drink and a delicious meal. Wear pink today to help make your cruise especially festive. This afternoon, continue exploring Washington with visits to the White House Visitor’s Center, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the Korean War Veterans Memorial, and the Lincoln Memorial. Tonight’s dinner will be on your own in Old Town Alexandria, where there are an abundance of restaurants from which to choose. You’ll also have enough free time for you to experience Old Town.

This afternoon’s sightseeing includes the Capitol Visitor Center on Capitol Hill (with lunch on your own at the underground Capitol Visitor Center Cafeteria) and the United States Library of Congress. End the day with an enjoyable dinner at the Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant (or a similar restaurant) and an evening drive past monuments and must-sees such as the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Embassy Row, the Washington National Cathedral, the Marine Corps Memorial (and Iwo Jima Statue), the National World War II Memorial, the Washington Monument, and other memorials and monuments, as time permits.

In the afternoon, visit the National Mall and spend time visiting your choice of the Smithsonian Institution’s museums. Tonight, gather with your fellow travelers for a farewell dinner before heading back to your hotel.
